Bio: Dirk can most readily be described as an Implementation Coach in Prescriptive, insight-led selling and Commercial Excellence, with over 20 years of training and consulting experience. Prior to founding consultancy firm Poco común consulting s.l. on the Canary Islands (2015), he was Chief Learning Officer at TERADATA, Ohio, US (a Data and Analytics company, 2009-2015, 2.3bi$) where he and his team successfully implemented one of the first Challenger Sale training curricula for 1’200 sales associates, as well as a global Leadership MBA.
Before Teradata, he was Group President Sales at ANDREW in Chicago, US (Telecom infrastructure, 2001-08) leading a salesforce of 420 account executives and growing revenues under his tenure to over 1bi$.
Dirk has worked as an independent consultant with midsize and large enterprises across industries and geographies: training top and middle management at CARMEUSE (Chemicals, 2007-09); all sales associates at MOLEX (Tech, 2001-2008). Prior to his business career, he was nine years in the Airforce as a jetfighter-pilot, before he made the switch to become an instructor in account strategy, business development and leadership (Korn & Ferry).
An avid traveller and adventurer, speaking four languages, Dirk holds a Doctorandus degree in Philology of the State University of Luttich, pilot licences GPL/PPL from his aviator days, and Master Trainer Certifications of AchieveGlobal, SPIN-selling, Challenger Sale, a.o. He is considered as a thought-leader with an international ecosystem and focus on Innovation translated into Go2Market strategies. Dirk and his wife reside in Frankfurt, Germany, and on Lanzarote, Canary Islands.
