We live in a place we love

Picture an island that basks in a permanent bubble of warm sunny weather. Then let’s throw in high standard healthcare and education, safety and connectivity. Then consider the low living costs and a Quality of Life score in the top five per cent worldwide.

It’s not just an island with dozens of beaches, but a destination for world-class hiking, surfing and watersports. It’s a vibrant island of cinematic sunsets, with a thriving tourism industry plus an incredible choice of popular restaurants and bars.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has a diverse, strong and growing community of like-minded people from all over the world. It’s the haven to realise your perfect work-life balance. It’s no wonder we all love to live in Gran Canaria and you won’t be surprised to find out that it’s one of Europe’s top digital nomad and remote worker locations. We’re sure you’ll love it too.

City Life

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, The Nomad City, is the capital of Gran Canaria and is located in the North East corner of the island.

Thanks to it boasting “the best climate in the world” (Thanks Thomas Whitmore!), it’s become a perfect haven for Nomads and those seeking the perfect work-life balance.

Coworking spaces and Nomad-friendly coffee shops are aplenty, with many providing work space and a free and fast internet connection, plus the consistently warm weather and incredible scenery certainly boosts productivity and creativity.

Beach Life & Activities

One of Gran Canaria’s well loved assets is it’s miles of glorious sun-soaked beaches. Our golden sandy beaches are enjoyed by many throughout the year thanks to the consistently warm climate. With the island being situated about 150km off the coast of Morocco it benefits from consistent warm climate, off-set by the local cooler Canary Current.

The 236km of coastline is enjoyed by surfers, water sports lovers, beach volley ball players, sun bathers, calisthenics and fitness enthusiasts, and runners and walkers alike. Offering plenty of diverse scenery on and between its 60km of beaches.

Eating Out in Las Palmas

Eating out in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is incredibly affordable when compared to many other European cities. As a port city, as you can expect, many restaurants serve deliciously fresh seafood and the Spanish influence is certainly strong with dishes serving up mouth watering flavours.

Restaurant culture is strong in Gran Canaria and is treated as an enjoyable, leisurely and social experience as much as a convenient, practical activity. There are many wonderful local dishes to choose from too with plenty of wonderful wine pairing options. Make sure you try canarian ropa vieja or cerdo negro canario when you see it on the menu!

There is also an ever-growing number of vegetarian and vegan-friendly eateries too accommodating those with a plant-based diet.
